blank vertical space, 16 pixels highHave you ever written a blog post and thought: I wish I could get this in front of more people.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Me, too.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

The good news is: you can– by repurposing the content.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Which just means figuring out a way to recycle it so more people can see it.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Think small. Break your post into bite-sized chunks.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Knife cutting out pieces of blog post cheese. Cut your original post into bits and pieces that you can use elsewhere.

blank vertical space, 16 pixels highDid you make 5 or 6 points in your post? Post them individually on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

By spreading them out, you’ll boost your “mileage.”blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

You’ll also boost the odds that people will see at least some
of your original content.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

You can include a link to the full post as well.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

blank vertical space, 16 pixels highYou’d be surprised at all the things you can do with a post to boost its circulation.blank vertical space, 24 pixels high

Is there someone who might find your post particularly helpful? an influencer? a prospect? Send them a link with a brief note.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Think visual: put the gist of your post in an infographic. Or create a graphic for each main point. You could also reformat the post as a PDF slideshow.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Consider republishing the post elsewhere– on Medium or LinkedIn, for example.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

If you come across a post on the same subject, leave a comment that adds value, and include a link to your own post:

Speaking of infographics, here are some ways to repurpose your content:blank vertical space, 24 pixels highMoon as an original blog post, sun as a sunburst representing the many ways information from a blog post can be recycled into new content.

blank vertical space, 16 pixels highblank vertical space, 16 pixels highAs noted above, do NOT try to repurpose your content in every conceivable way– you’ll look like a spammer. You’ll also drive yourself crazy.blank vertical space, 16 pixels high

Pick a few ways that work best for you. Send links to specific individuals along with personal notes, and post bits and pieces of your posts to social platforms where your target audience hangs out.

It’s been a while Mark! I don’t know why I stopped receiving updates on your articles. And now, suddenly, I’d started seeing them again. I always enjoy reading your write-ups and your animations are the best! I am well, thank you. I hope you are too. Take care of yourself and have a lovely weekend. 🙂 🙂

Ah!– the strange ways of WordPress! I no longer receive WP notifications, and I have no idea why– are they trying to drive me crazy??– it’s working!! 🤪😅

Glad you got one for this post anyway, and thank you so much, Seyi, for your very kind words. Sorry for the late reply– I was away for a week doing some hiking. It’s always good to know my legs still work!! 😊

All well here. Thanks again, wonderful to see you, and I’m always wishing you the best! 👍

I’m a notorious blogger, all right! Hey, wait a minute, so are you!! 😅

Hi, Jean! Always great to hear from you, hope you and Jack (??) are well! Sunny and cold here in New Hampshire today, but still decent biking weather. I have to resist the temptation, tho, and stack firewood– I’ve still got a ways to go! Cheers!! 🙏😊

Hi Mark, glad to see your still kickin’ up some comics. Jack died 2 yrs. ago…long journey since then. I have many happy memories. So blogging took backseat for awhile. I am back and now taking every day while snow-free to bike. I have also retired for now. You ought to do a post about the world of still/frozen blogs and advise others to assign caretaker. Not sure what you can say, except they can be a resource.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jack’s death. I remember seeing him in many of your lovely travel posts. God rest his soul, and I hope you’re doing OK. 👍💪🙏

Hard to imagine you as retired! I shall await word of your 2nd (3rd? 4th??) career! Glad to hear you’re still snow-free and getting in some late season biking.

I’ve sometimes wondered about all the frozen/abandoned blogs out there– must be up in the millions! I know my own blog posts have fallen off by a lot in recent years. Are we all running out of gas?? No– don’t answer that!!

Cheers, Jean! Keep smiling, and thanks for the update! 🙏😊
