How Chick-fil-A Uses A Football Quiz To Entertain And Engage Fans

April 13, 2018

Chick-fil-A sponsors the annual Peach Bowl. They post a quiz on their site the week before the game. It features trivia about the two teams and their respective schools. I’m
the lucky guy who gets to illustrate it. It’s one of my favorite assignments.

The 2017 Peach Bowl was played on January 1, 2018. The University of Central Florida Knights defeated the Auburn Tigers 34-27 to cap an undefeated season.

The quiz features a header image to pull people in. See how peaches inspire harmony and good fellowship.blank vertical space, 32 pixels highheader illustration Chick-fil-A 2017 Peach Bowl quiz UCF Central Florida Knights vs. Auburn Tigers football game

After reading this wunnaful comment, I ran into the end zone, spiked a bag of Reeses, and did a cute little boogie dance. And… I was careful to step to the side so I didn’t trample the Reeses when I danced. Now I’m eating the Reeses and reading your comment over and over. Life is good… Thanks, RK– and the pom-pom was emphatically implied!! 😋😊

I appreciate that kind comment, thank you. FWIW: I’ve been drawing for a long time. Every once in awhile I’ll come across some ancient work, and I cringe. No joke– I was pretty bad.

Somebody (I’ve seen it attributed to different people) once said that every artist has 10,000 bad drawings in them– and you have to get them out. Sounds demoralizing, I know, but you have to keep going and not think about it too much. At some point you’ll start to get better, and it will all be worth it– promise. Good luck, and thanks again for stopping by!
